Banyan Pediatric Care, a start up company delivering skilled nursing services to medically fragile, technology dependent children, required a new Florida facility. Wessel Construction was tasked with helping strike a perfect balance between medical features and childcare offerings to ensure this exceptional idea successfully came to life.

This multidisciplinary, developmentally appropriate environment was more than just a child care facility and more than just a medical facility: it required a seamless, cheerful combination of both.

As a majority of enrolled children are wheelchair bound, Wessel not only ensured the building was ADA compliant, but took extra considerations to make daily tasks as easy as possible. Dedicated rooms for on-site motor and speech therapy allow teachers—who are usually also nurses—to more easily care for these special kids. While vibrant paint, floor tiles, and carpet throughout complements and enhances the playful spirit so important to these children!
