Tapped by a Goddard School franchise in Sarasota, Florida, Wessel Construction was tasked with upholding Florida’s building design standards while incorporating the owner’s upgrades and customizations to a franchise building prototype.
Outside, Wessel installed artificial turf in and around the playground to help minimize dirt and gravel. Artificial turf—along with an upgraded roof—help with drainage and water management during prolific Florida rainstorms.
Inside, a number of child- and childcare-friendly features were constructed, including upgraded countertops throughout, high-traffic flooring, and a large fish tank in the lobby which gives children awaiting pickup something fun to watch.
This project strikes the perfect balance of building standards and style, creating a warm, welcoming place for Sarasota’s smallest citizens.
