Included in the mission of The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch is the expressed commitment to provide exceptional senior living in a warm, comfortable environment. Wessel Construction was entrusted to build these qualities into their new facility.

Phase 1 of the three-phase project entailed creation of a two-story senior living center. The stately Tuscany-inspired architecture includes a porte cochere for weather-covered access. Electronically controlled entrances, telephone and cable connections, emergency generators and hurricane glass windows provide peace of mind.

Inside, Wessel built common living room, game room and library spaces to socialize or relax, and separate areas for elegant formal or cozy cafe dining. Wessel also constructed a courtyard so residents can enjoy nature and water views.

Residents can make use of support areas that include a health-and-wellness services suite and therapeutic whirlpool spa. A selection of eight apartment floor plans suit individual preferences. Each includes a kitchenette, large bathroom with curbless shower, individually controlled heating and A/C, and an emergency call system.

During Phases 2 and 3 construction the senior living facility was occupied, so Wessel took extra precaution to ensure that residents and staff were not inconvenienced. Phase 2 included construction of The Windsor’s Memory Center building. Wessel adapted the build-out to include special support for round-the-clock security and care. In Phase 3 of the project, Wessel executed a Memory Center addition.
