For sixty years, The Tabernacle Church has been serving the people of the Sarasota-Manatee region. This legacy brings them to an exciting future—a new church campus, recently completed by Wessel Construction. Wessel built this as a phased project in an extended timeline, as the church raised funds through their capital campaign the church wanted an intimate atmosphere, yet still achieve the 1000 seats.

This new build includes a new sanctuary complete with a cutting-edge A/V component and space design that helps congregants feel engaged no matter where they’re seated, this unique sanctuary was constructed with a curved wall to create the feel they desired. The church met for years in a smaller space, so they wanted a large foyer so that the congregation to meet together in comfort.

A comfortable nursery and creative children’s areas are are themed to create an exciting space for each age.

The exterior features covered walkways to access different parts of the church campus through sun and rain, and brick accents to break up the facade and add visual interest. The towering steeple sits atop the sanctuary section of the building, greeting congregants as they arrive.

With this Wessel project, Tabernacle Church demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to better serve the needs of today’s families and community.
